I don't like talking much, but I'g most motivated to speak if at that place'south a problem to be solved or a misunderstanding to be cleared upwardly.

Hi I'm INF/TP and I like to talk well-nigh things that I've been thinking through for some considerable length of time then when I meet another sentient being I volition assault them with my freshly set thoughts if I'm comfortable plenty talking to that person, talking to animals is usually less stressful. Who knows, possibly I'll start talking to plants soon.

It probably varies from person to person only I call up I'd exist right in saying INTPs like intellectual topics, and conversations where something is being learned or debated (in a mutual learning kind of way).
I don't like gossiping almost people or events, i.e. "Did y'all see John last night? He was then drunk, and then he went and talked to Melissa and she was so not enjoying information technology."
I don't similar pretentiousness i.due east. "Oh this beer is so crisp and hoppy with nutty aromas and I'm then intellectual because I said that sentence"
I exercise like talking well-nigh annihilation with an academic or intellectual slant, east.g. science, politics, economics etc. It tin can sometimes be frustrating though because often people try to wade in on topics they clearly have no idea about. They don't seem to realise that it's possible to use caution in chat and treat it as a learning exercise.
I as well agree when you say that you similar to talk if information technology involves solving a problem. In that situation, there's no fluff or human baggage to content with it's a uncomplicated discussion of finding the logical best outcome.
That's about every bit much as I know.

I think the matter that I've institute about a lot of INTPs, and I know a lot of sites mention this, is that we tend to accept a wide diverseness of brusk-lived interests that we become focused on and learn a lot about, drib when something else comes forth, and so pick back up over again after on when the novelty comes back, just to repeat the cycle again.
Whatsoever Im interested in at the moment, when I'chiliad in the right mood, I can talk for hours.

A few times, I met with this kid alone at a lunch tabular array during loftier schoolhouse and implored him to think differently about the globe. Other times I have spoken near mathematical topics to people and other theoretical topics. These instances are more rare and probably a lot more dependent on the person. I don't normally talk about any of these things with people I don't view as being interested.
A lot of the time when I talk, at that place is a very overt level of fail. They don't even pretend to have not heard what I said, they literally ignore what I say and then start talking to someone else. And so the talking is fairly express to smaller groups or people I trust.
I have also been accused of being educational.

Haha this is 100% my best friend, who's an INTP! I find INTPs are actually skillful at making theoretical discussions or discussions about anything really. I'm jealous of how eloquent INTPs can be...

Generalizations about people, peculiarly the sexes.

Bad takes by politicians or people.
Politics outside of the conceptual level.
New age concepts.
The rest I can sort of adapt to to some degree.

I but greet people. Other people initiate the topics unless I have something important to say. If someone is an expert at something, I might ask questions related to their expertise. I also reply questions if other people ask. Every bit Lao Tzu said "Those who know don't talk. Those who talk don't know."
